Greetings, I'm Tyler. A bit about me: I have a love for the cryptic and esoteric. I play accordion, though not very well. I suffer from perpetual headaches. I love cinema and photography and art and literature and good music. And I like to think I'm a pretty neat person once you get to know me...?
relistened to Daydream Nation earlier this afternoon. Still gives me the chills, brings me back all these disparate memories from freshman year.
Sometimes I feel like somewhere along the line I stopped loving music and now I just go through the motions of listening to new records trying to revive all those revelatory and deeply personal moments I had when I was 13 and listening to My Bloody Valentine or The Replacements or Pixies or whatever.
Hm. Just watched Cassavettes’s A Woman Under the Influence after putting it off for so long. Gena Rowlands’s character reminds me so much of my mother: childish, volatile, violent, full of repressed psychoses. Probably one of the most personally emotionally affecting films I’ve ever seen.
